Day 14 : Hanoi - Departure

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrival at Noi Bai airport, welcome and transfer to your hotel (rooms are available at noon). In the afternoon, visit the Opera House, Hanoi Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Welcome dinner and overnight in Hanoi.


Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Lao Cai
After breakfast at hotel. Then, explore Vietnam’s charming capital such as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, stilt house, One Pillar Pagoda; the Presidential Palace; the Temple of Literature; the Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda & West Lake. After lunch at local restaurant. Visit the Ethnology Museum and enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance. Dinner at local restaurant then transfer to Hanoi railways station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.


Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa
Arrive at Lao Cai railways station at about 06 am, welcomed by our guide and our driver then depart to Sapa. Check in hotel for a shower and for breakfast, then discover Sapa and its surroundings to immerse in this beautiful mountain landscape and home to many minority hill tribe peoples. Trek through the terraced rice fields to visit the villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai, where you will learn about local traditions and daily life. Overnight at hotel.


Day 4: Sapa – Visit hill tribe villages - Bac Ha
Have breakfast at the hotel. Discover Sapa’s cultural diversity and haunting natural beauty, you will trek through terraced rice fields and hill tribe villages to explore the daily life and familiarize yourself with the cultures of the H’mong, Dzao and Dzay people who populate the region. Have lunch at a hill tribe village then drive back to Sapa and leave for Bac Ha.
Bac Ha is situated in a region of breathtaking beauty, known for its colourful Sunday market. But Bac Ha is not touristy. Overnight in Bac Ha.


Day 5: Bac Ha - Viet Quang
Have breakfast at hotel. Depart by car to visit Bac Ha or Can Cau Market. It is an open-air traditional market on Saturday or Sunday. They are the most colorful and importants of ethnic minorities living in this region. We discover some of the area’s finest scenery marked by dramatic rice terraces and hilltribal villages scattered along the way. Then, drive to Viet Quang via stunning lanscapes and meet friendly people on the way. Overnight at Viet Quang.

Day 6: Viet Quang - Ha Giang - Quan Ba
Depart to Ha Giang to visit Thon Tha village, home to Tays ethnic minorities. Then, continue to Quan Ba via breathtaking lanscapes and many stops on the way for taking pictures and to meet hospitable people. Ha Giang is one of the most remote provinces in North East Vietnam. Ha Giang is home to some of Vietnam’s most colourful hill tribe minorities. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, walk around Quan Ba to to discover the daily life and the culture of Daos and other ethnic minorities. Overnight in Quan Ba.

Day 7: Quan Ba - Dong Van - Meo Vac
After breakfast. Depart for Meo Vac via Dong Van to visit Dong Van ancient town and its colonial market. Continue to Meo Vac with many stop on the way especially at Ma Fi Leng Pass for nice views at Nha Que river, valleys and mountains... Arrive in Meo Vac, walk around to discover its beautiful landscapes and hospitables ethnic minorities living there. Overnight in Bao Lac.

 

Day 8: Meo Vac - Bao Lac

Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Bao Lac via beautiful sceneries : mountains, ethnic villages, valleys, local markets and terraced rice fields... Arrive in Bao Lac, check in hotel and discover Black Lo Lo ethnic, one of the most typical ethnic existing in Vietnam. Overnight in Bao Lac.
 

Day 9: Bao Lac - Ba Be
Depart from Bao Lac to Ba Be lake,
home to the Tay minority people. Ba Be lake is the most beautiful nature lake in Vietnam and it is named as "Halong Bay on the mountain". Arrive at Pac Ngoi village, check in at homestay and walk around the village to discover Tays' culture and local life. Overnight at homestay.

 

Day 10: Ba Be - Cao Bang - Quang Hoa

Breakfast at homestay. Take a boat cruise or Kayaking on Ba Be lake to visit this beautiful lake and its key sites as Puong grotto, Dau Dang waterfall, and Ao Tien... Back to homestay for lunch. After lunch, depart to Quang Hoa via Cao Bang and visit Phuc Sen handcraf village. Overnight at Quang Hoa

 

Day 11: Quang Hoa - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Bac Giang

Have breakfast at Quang Hoa. Transfer to Ban Gioc waterfall, the biggest and the most beautiful waterfall of Vietnam. Depart to Bac Giang via Lang Son by the famous road (National Road No 4 built by french people for the War in 1950). Lunch at Lang Son. Continue to Son Dong, Bac Giang province and check in resort then visit Daos ethnic village. Overnight in Bac Giang


Day 12: Bac Giang – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise
Departure at 08h30 for Halong Bay, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive in Halong at 12:00 am, embark on the junk for a welcome drink and check in cabines. Savor fresh seafood on board and we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit Sung Sot, one of the bay’s 3 largest caves. Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Tonkin Gulf (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight on the junk.

 

Day 13: Halong – Hanoi
Wake up in early morning for the sunshine and for the Tai Chi on the top deck. Then, have breakfast before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for the sundeck and for the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as we navigate back to Halong City. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Back to Hanoi and overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day 14 : Hanoi - Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure or free for shopping until transfer to Noi Bai airport for the departure.
