Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrival at Noi Bai airport, welcome and transfer to your hotel (rooms are available at noon). In the afternoon, visit the Opera House, Hanoi Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Welcome dinner and overnight in Hanoi.


Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Lao Cai
After breakfast at hotel. Then, explore Vietnam’s charming capital such as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, stilt house, One Pillar Pagoda; the Presidential Palace; the Temple of Literature; the Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda & West Lake. After lunch at local restaurant. Visit the Ethnology Museum and enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance. Dinner at local restaurant then transfer to Hanoi railways station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.


Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa
Arrive at Lao Cai railways station at about 06 am, welcomed by our guide and our driver then depart to Sapa. Check in hotel for a shower and for breakfast, then discover Sapa and its surroundings to immerse in this beautiful mountain landscape and home to many minority hill tribe peoples. Trek through the terraced rice fields to visit the villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai, where you will learn about local traditions and daily life. Overnight at hotel.


Day 4: Sapa – Visit hill tribe villages - Hanoi
Have breakfast at the hotel. Discover Sapa’s cultural diversity and haunting natural beauty, you will trek through terraced rice fields and hill tribe villages to explore the daily life and familiarize yourself with the cultures of the H’mong, Dzao and Dzay people who populate the region. Have lunch at a hill tribe village then drive back to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Hanoi. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight on the train.


Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise
Arrive in Hanoi at about 04:30 am. Welcome and transfer to hotel nearby Hanoi railways station for a break, a shower and breakfast. 08 am, departure for Halong Bay, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive in Halong at 12:00 am, embark on the junk for a welcome drink and check in cabines. Savor fresh seafood on board and we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit Sung Sot, one of the bay’s 3 largest caves. Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Tonkin Gulf (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight on the junk.

 

Day 6: Halong – Hanoi  Hue
Wake up in early morning for the sunshine and for the Tai Chi on the top deck. Then, have breakfast before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for the sundeck and for the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as we navigate back to Halong City. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Back to Hanoi and transfer to Noi Bai airport for a short flight to Hue. Upon arrival, our guide and driver will meet you and take you to your hotel. Overnight in Hue.

 

Day 7: Hue City Tour
Have breakfast at hotel. Discover Vietnam’s former ancient capital with a visit to the Imperial Citadel, home to the Imperial City and Forbidden Purple City and a boat trip on Perfume river to visit Minh Mang tomb. In the afternoon,  visit the Imperial Museum, Tu Hieu Pagoda and vibrant Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue

 

Day 8: Hue – Danang – Hoian
After having breakfast at hotel. Depart to Hoian via Lang Co fishing village and Hai Van Pass. Stopover on Hai Van Pass for a nice view and then, visit the Cham Museum and handicraft villages at the foot of Marble Mountain. Continue to Hoi An and free at leisure or discover Hoi An ancient town by yourself. Overnight in Hoi An.

 

Day 9: Hoian – My Son Holy Land
Discover My Son sanctuary that is about 40km from Hoian, My Son Sanctuary is home to the ancient Cham ruins and is often referred to as Vietnam’s Angkor Wat temples. They include temples and towers that connect to each other with complicated red brick designs. The main component of the Cham architectural design is the tower, built to reflect the divinity of the king. On the way back to Hoi An, visit the Sa Huynh Champa Museum in Tra Kieu. Overnight in Hoi An.


Day 10: Hoian – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City
Have breakfast at hotel. Then, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh, welcome and transfer to your hotel. Have lunch at a restaurant then visit Vietnam’s biggest commercial hub such as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.


Day 11: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Cao Dai Temple
After breakfast at hotel. Depart to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels that are an underground labyrinth of passageways and they were used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War as protection against American air raids. Lunch at local restaurant and then visit the beautiful Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh and partake in the noontime prayer service. This large and colorful compound is home to the hybrid religion founded in the 1920s: Caodaism, which combines elements of Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Christianity and Islam in order to promote peace. Return to Saigon in the late afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh


Day 12: Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho
Today you leave Saigon and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town, Cai Be. Along the way, stop at a candy factory and orchard garden, where you have an opportunity to listen to traditional music. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, then cross the river by motorized boat to visit some fluvial islands and explore the countryside by bicycle. Your driver will meet you at Vinh Long pier and take you to the epicentre of the Mekong Delta, Can Tho City, for the night.


Day 13: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Saigon
Wake early and leave the hotel to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market by motorized boat. Continue the boat ride to visit the Mekong Delta’s famous fruit orchards and sample the fresh, exotic fruit. Then venture deeper into the country-side, passing traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves as you observe the activities of the local people. Return to Can Tho for lunch then drive back to Saigon, arriving in the late afternoon.


Day 14: Saigon Departure.
Have breakfast at hotel. Then enjoy a free morning before driving to the airport to catch your departure flight home (check out time is at 12am).
